Neurodevelopment Support for Your Child

SPARC Neurodevelopment programs

Skagit Preschool and Resource Center (SPARC) is a local non-profit organization serving Skagit County. We are a dedicated team of professionals who provide educational and therapeutic programs to serve children with special needs, birth to five years of age. We can provide your family with guidance, education, and expert support required for your child’s development.

Please review our four programs listed below to determine how we can best support you and your family.

  • cognitive
  • communication
  • motor
  • social
  • adaptive

Preschool Program

The Preschool Program provides educational and therapeutic services to Mount Vernon School District’s preschool children with developmental delays. This partnership provides an opportunity for children with unique learning styles to participate in a classroom environment amongst typical learners.

Neurodevelopment

Skagit Preschool and Resource Center (SPARC) is one of eighteen Neurodevelopment Centers (NDC) in Washington State.  As an NDC, our professionals are credentialed with most insurance companies to provide therapy and related services to children with a developmental delay, disability or chronic medical condition in addition to any services they may already qualify for from their child’s school district.  SPARC welcomes the opportunity to work with new families and their children.

Parent to Parent

Skagit County Parent to Parent program offers emotional support, resources, educational seminars and social/recreational events for families whose children have special needs.  We utilize trained ‘Helping Parents’ to provide one-to-one connections.  We want families to know that they are not alone.  Our services are available across the lifespan, as well as, county-wide at no cost to families or professionals.

SPARC is excited to promote United Way of Skagit County and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Signing your child up is easy and free. Once enrolled, children residing in Skagit County aged 0-5 receive a free book mailed directly to their home every month.
