Children's Therapy Program

Delivering Support to Local Families

In addition to therapeutic services your child may already be receiving through their
school district or Birth to Three program, we offer therapy and related services through
our family-focused Children’s Therapy Program.

Skagit Preschool and Resource Center (SPARC) is one of eighteen Neurodevelopmental Centers (NDC) in Washington State.

Here to Serve You

SPARC welcomes the opportunity to work with new families and their children. Therapy professionals are credentialed with most insurance companies.

Our Children’s Therapy Program offers private therapy sessions and is separate from our preschool and birth to three services. If we are not accepting referrals for this program, or have a waitlist, your child may still be eligible for services through one of our other programs.

If your child is under the age of 3, please contact our Birth to Three Program.

If your child is between the ages 3-5, please contact your local school district for developmental preschool services. District contact information is available on our Preschool Program page.

Music Therapy

Social Music Groups
- Join us for a symphony of musical games, songwriting, and improvisation on a variety of instruments! We welcome individuals of all neurotypes, abilities, and support needs!
- Group 1: Ages 5-8
- Group 2: Ages 8-12
Individual Sessions
- Experience the joy of music with a certified music therapist that will adapt to your child’s individual learning style and goals.

Some insurance plans cover music therapy. SPARC can provide monthly statements for families seeking reimbursement. Currently, we cannot bill insurance directly or guarantee reimbursement. Services may be paid for out of pocket, through a DDA waiver, and DDA respite funds.

How to Initiate Services

To begin, please discuss any concerns you may have regarding your child’s growth and development with their healthcare provider. They will then submit a referral to our Children’s Therapy team. After the referral is processed, which may take a few days, we will reach out to answer any questions and start the intake process.

Speech and Language Therapy – Current waitlist
Music Therapy – Referral not necessary, contact SPARC directly

Unfortunately, we are not accepting referrals for:

Occupational Therapy
Physical Therapy
