Preschool Program

Serving Mount Vernon Residents

Supported Preschool Program

Our Supported Preschool Program, formally known as Special Education Preschool, provides educational and therapeutic services to children ages 3–5 with developmental delays within the Mount Vernon School District. Our approach is rooted in recognizing and supporting each child’s unique learning style, while also offering wraparound services to support the whole family. At SPARC, we understand that families play a vital role in a child’s growth and development. We actively encourage family involvement, as it helps us better tailor our support to meet each child’s individual needs.

The Classroom Experience

Our classroom environment follows a structured daily routine designed to support the development of academic skills, communication, fine and gross motor abilities, social interaction, and adaptive behaviors. We draw from research-based curricula to provide a tailored, blended approach that meets the unique needs of each student. Our professional team includes early childhood special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, and paraeducators who work collaboratively to support every child’s growth and development.
