SPARC

SPARC (Skagit Preschool and Resource Center) provides educational, therapeutic and behavioral programs for children with special needs from birth to six in Skagit County of Washington State. SPARC also provides opportunities for family education, participation and support so that families may become more knowledgeable about their child’s needs and goals and are better able to participate in enhancing their child’s development. Whenever possible, children with special needs participate in programs and child care together with other children. The philosophy is that all children grow and learn together, but never forgetting that the child with special needs and the families of such children have challenges which must be met in order to enhance their abilities to participate more fully in educational and community processes.
